Michael Mastro

Michael’s recent directorial credits include DADDY LONG LEGS, NUREYEV’S EYES, THE FABULOUS LIPITONES and THE SUBJECT WAS ROSES, all at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, NJ (where he recently completed two seasons as Resident Artistic Director),  as well as at NORA at Delaware Theatre Company (where he spent the 2014-2015 season as Associate Artistic Director). In NYC he’s directed numerous one-acts as well as readings of new pieces for the theatre. He also regularly mounts celebrity play readings to benefit one of his favorite non-profits in NYC: Opening Act. As an actor he’s appeared on Broadway, Off-Broadway, at numerous regional theaters and in several films and television shows.  Upcoming he has a major supporting role in HBO’s Untitled Barry Levinson Project about Joe Paterno starring Al Pacino, and will be playing Ed Norton in a new musical adaptation of THE HONEYMOONERS at Paper Mill Playhouse.  Michael is also a member of SDC, AEA, SAG-AFTRA and The Actors Center.

Ample Hills Creamery

Brian and Jackie Cuscuna opened Ample Hills Creamery in the Spring of 2011 in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.  Dedicated to making ice cream the old-fashioned way (slowly, by hand), some of their original flavors included Salted Crack Caramel, Bananamon, and Mexican Hot Chocolate. Their playful, whimsical flavors reflect the creativity, the vibrancy and spirit of community, and to this day they pledge daily to not take life too seriously.

They start by using the best ingredients; hormone free milk and cream from grass fed cows and organic cane sugar. They pasteurize our ice cream base in order to create individually specific flavors and because they pasteurize on site, they are a registered dairy plant.  Almost all of their mix-ins are made in house from scratch. They are as much of a bakery as they are a dairy plant. They spend an equal amount of time baking and boiling as we do pasteurizing and churning. From their homemade peppermint patties, to their honeycomb candy, to their pistachio brittle, munchie mix and brownies; they create it all in their kitchen in Gowanus.
